This amendment inserted some new section and amended some section of PPC in order to make more strict laws for the offence of rape.

Section 55 of PPC is amended and offences related with rape are made non compounable

Section 376 of PPC is also amended; now whoever commits rape of minor or person with mental or physical disability shall be punished with death or imprisonment of life.

اب جو بھی نابالغ یا کسی زہنی مریض سے زناء کرے گاا تو اسے سزاے موت یا عمر قید کی سزا سنائی جاسکتی ہے

It further stated that whoever being a public servant; including a police office, medical officer or jailor, taking advantage of his official position, commits rape shall be punished with death or imprisonment for life and fine.
جب کوئی سرکاری ملازم جیلر ,پولیس یا میڈیکل آفیسر اپنے اختیارات کا ناجائز فائد اٹھا کر ریپ کرے گا تو اسے بھی سزاے موت کی سزا ہوگی
Through this amendment, now disclosure of identity of victim of rape is also prohibited u/s 376A.

Law is also amended and it is compulsory for investigation officer to record statement of victim in presence of female police officer or other female family member of victim.

متاثرہ کا بیان لیڈی پولیس آفیسر کی موجودگی میں یا متاثرہ کی اپنی کسی فی میل فیملی میمبر کی موجودگی میں لیا جاے گا

Similarity it is also compulsory for Police to record FIR of such offence in presence of female police officer.

پولیس مقدمہ درج بھی فی میل پولیس آفیسر کی موجودگی میں کرے گی

Now under this amended law DNA test is compulsory but with the consent of victim or his legal heirs and it is duty of IO to send the samples of DNA to forensic laboratory as soon as possible.
